Why quality separates winning distributors from the rest
A single batch of thin, cloudy, or poorly-painted nails can destroy a retailer relationship. Knowing how to evaluate a supplier's quality protects your brand.
Check 1: Material flexibility
High-quality press-on nails use flexible ABS or virgin material that bends without cracking at the cuticle. Ask for a bend test - the nail should flex and return to shape.
Check 2: Hand-painted finish
Look for clean edges and consistent color under natural light. Machine-printed nails show blurred lines, while handmade-look nails have crisp French tips and smooth gradients.
Check 3: Certification and safety
Demand CPC (children's and adult product certificate) and SGS reports. These are non-negotiable for European and many African import regulators.
Check 4: Adhesive quality
The included adhesive tabs or jelly gel should hold for 5-7 days and remove cleanly. Poor adhesive is the number one consumer complaint.
Check 5: Factory capacity and consistency
